I have enjoyed competing in the sport of three-day eventing for over 15 years now. Our sport has changed dramatically over the past few years. However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the thrill of galloping a Thoroughbred through open fields and jumping fences, ditches and water. Having to jump around clear with no jump faults and finish within a set time makes Thoroughbreds the ideal breed for this sport. I have been very fortunate to get to know Sharon Ross over the years and have purchased several Thoroughbreds from her. Some needed rehabilitation for slight injuries, and some just didn’t have the speed for the track. However, they are all excelling at our sport and, most importantly of all, enjoying themselves immensely.
