Like Mother, Like Daughter, by Diane
Karl
J.B.s Phoebe, by Boca Rio, and her filly by Hes
Tops romp in stride. Diane writes: The foals track name will be
Phoebes Top Speed, while her barn name is Speedee. She was bred by Sharon
Lulham, owner of J.B.s Phoebe, and myself. Ive been following
horses since Sharon had Phoebe (a winner herself) at the track. I remember when
Hes Tops ran and saw each of his races. Then a couple years ago I
mentioned to Sharon that we should breed Phoebe to him. The foal was born on
March 16. Shes a pretty, bright filly. When people see her they often say
how big her back end is. We chuckle and say, Yeah, its the one time
that you can be proud of a girl having a big butt! Were
hoping for as much power out of her back end as her mom and dad had. We look
forward to very exciting races and lots of fun as she grows and heads to the
track. The photo was taken at Four Star Farm in Graham.
