Letters to the Editor

Dear Sirs:

I am a recent subscriber to your racing and breeding journal. I have received your JAN/FEB '08 issue and wish to congratulate you on the fine appearance and of the articles in it. As my [business] card attached suggests, I am simply a racing fan and, as we have access here to your race days via our Vancouver, BC, track, I am anxious to have a good picture of your race scene.

I enjoyed the article about Ralph Vacca's retirement, especially the Roast and Toast where you gave Pete Pedersen's comment. My wife and I are friends of Pete and Marlene and correspond with them a fair bit.

I receive the weekly Blood-Horse magazine from Kentucky and in their annual Stud Book they neglected again this year to show the list of Washington studs. I had their assurance that they would include it. I wrote last year and again this year, and they admit to me that it was an oversight.

I hope you can arrange to send me a current copy of your Farm and Service Directory. I have a copy of the publication, but it is dated for 2003. I probably picked it up on one of my trips to Emerald Downs. This is all for now, and thanks for your attention to my request.

Yours Truly,
Allan Barrie
Maple Ridge, BC
