The annual awards committee, consisting of a representative of the WTBOA, WHPBA and Emerald Downs, met on December 30 to decide the year-end 2009 Washington-bred finalists and champions. The following horses were nominated and are listed in alphabetical order under their division.
Two-year-old colt and geldings: Edaciously, Hollywood Harbor and Koala Beach.
Two-year-old fillies: Ebony N Ice, Have'n a Wild Time, Knight Raider, Miss Current Sea, Miss Cygogone and Pistolpackin'gal.
Three-year-old colts and geldings: Free Action, Noosa Beach, Peaceful Reign and Quinalt.
Three-year-old fillies: Ladyledue, No Flies On Doodle, Perfect Finish and Point of Reference.
Handicap males: Atta Boy Roy, Bound to Be M V P, Goin' Dancin and Wasserman.
Older filly or mare: Born With Eagles, Clair Annette, Gadget Queen, Reba Is Tops and Screaminleapofaith.
Sprinter: Atta Boy Roy, Born With Eagles, Goin' Dancin, Clair Annette, Noosa Beach and Reba Is Tops.
Turf horse: Point of Reference, Reba Is Tops and Screaminleapofaith.
