Education for the Washington Thoroughbred Foundation Scholarship
Washington Thoroughbred
Foundation (WTF) Race for Education scholarship is available to students from
any background who wish to pursue a career in pre-veterinary medicine (equine
practice only), equine science, racetrack management, equine business
management and pasture management as it pertains to horse farms and other
equine related careers.
In most cases, the
scholarships cover the student's tuition for the duration of his or her
undergraduate education, up to a cap that will be determined at a later date.
To be eligible, a student
must: Be 24 years old or younger as of Sept. 1, 2008.
Have at least a 2.85 cumulative GPA. Have an annual household income
of less than $50,000 or be financially independent from parents. Be
a Washington State resident.

postmarked between January 1 and February 28, 2008, are submitted to:

Applications will be reviewed
by The Race For Education Selection Committee and finalists contacted for a
personal interview. Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Board of
Directors, and all applicants will be notified by May 30, 2008. Inquiries about
