Outside of the FTBOA's new
facility is the Garden of Champions "Dedicated to the memory and
honor of brilliance, determination and undaunted courage that is embodied in
the hearts of Florida Thoroughbreds."
The facility is located next door
to the Ocala Breeders' Sales grounds and across the street from a commercial
airport with horse ramp, where horses are flown in for the sales. |

Just beyond the foyer and
reception desk, one is surrounded by an impressive, but warm and inviting, room
full of glass cases which hold a portion of the association's collection of
Florida racing memorabilia. |

Throughout the facility, the
walls hold original paintings of the many Florida racing champions and their
dams. Above, FTBOA information and media relations manager Patrick Vinzant
stands in front of a painting of 1968 Florida horse of the year Dr. Fager,
which dominates one wall of the board room. |

On another wall of the board
room is this painting of champion and Triple Crown winning Florida-bred
Affirmed. |

Curved staircases wrap
around each side of the foyer and lead to an upstairs art gallery. |

The art gallery hosts a
variety of shows. |

Viewed from the upstairs
gallery, "Champ" is another of the "Horse Fever" painted horses. He resides
permanently at the front of the FTBOA facility and is an indication of the
friendly and welcoming reception that awaits within. |
