Mike Gastineau from KJR 950's "Live Racing with the Gas Man" and David Nathanson, general manager of TVG, were on hand for the festivities. The 2007 Longacres Mile presented by TVG (G3) was contested on August 19, 2007, for a record $400,000 purse through a sponsorship by TVG.

Owner Leona Orr, with the estate of Barbara J. Nelson, drew post position 10 for Washington-bred Norm's Nephew, which was bred by Mr. and Mrs. William C. Nelson, Jr. Trained by Jim Orr, ridden by Debbie Hoonan-Trujillo.

Mike (above) & Amy Feuerborn and J. & J. Maryanski, owners of Schoolin You, drew post position 6 for their Washington-bred who is trained by Jim Penney and ridden by Leslie Mawing. Finished fourth in the 2007 Longacres Mile.

Final draw went to Sinister Minister who drew post position 5. Mike Chambers once again did the honors for Bob Baffert who trains for owners Lanni Family Trust, Mercedes Stable LLC and Bernard C. Schiappa. Jockey: Clinton Potts.
